about

The Strings restaurant celebrates people, seasonal flavours and live music.

Located on the prestigious County Hall building just behind the London Eye and opposite the Big Ben. Since the opening in February 2022, we have been serving both quality interpretations of sumptuous meals and new dishes. The menu is curated to give you an opportunity to sample dishes that reflect the depth of Italian cuisine and Spanish Tapas, using modern techniques whilst remaining true to tradition and regionality. The kitchen team takes great care in sourcing the best of local, fresh and seasonal ingredients.

The interiors follow contemporary and casual styles with natural and warm colours.

Taking inspiration from Julian Bream, a London guitarist, the restaurant owner will take you on sensual live performance with famous pieces of composers such as Rodrigo, Tarrega, Albeniz, Granados, as well as Verdi and Rossini. At The Strings, we believe that when food, music and the perfect atmosphere come together, the result is unforgettable!

The Strings Italian & Spanish Tapas Restaurant gives you the chance to taste some of the most well-known tapas recipes from Italy & Spain.

All this will be accompained by the sound of the classic guitar played by Santy, the owner himself who is passionate about this lovely instrument as well as food and has decided to merge the both to create a perfect combo that will make it an unique dining experience for you.

About Santy

Santy, supported by his wife Elise, has always tried to make the classical guitar more “accessible”. How? By offering short and virtuous concerts in a more relaxed atmosphere, accompanied by delicacies. Santy opened his first music restaurant dedicated to this instrument in France and now he  is setting himself the next challenge: opening an even more prestigious venue in London: The Strings Italian & Spanish Restaurant. Together with the Spanish Chef Carlos, Santy is welcoming his guests with delicious Italian & Spanish tapas, a thoroughly composed wine selection and of course the sounds of his classical guitar.

SANTY'S BIO

Santy was born in Syracuse, Italy, where he spent the first 25 years of his life. Here he discovered his passion for the classical guitar and he started studying, studying, and studying…

At only 19 years he got his diploma at the Conservatorium of Pescara. Then he crisscrossed Europe for performing and giving masterclasses.

He finally settled down in Germany where he lived for 10 years and where he built up a large music school including an event venue offering lessons, concerts, and art exhibitions.

L’Ouverture was his next big project, a music restaurant in the heart of Toulouse (France), where he combined his musical talent with his passion for cooking for the first time.

Now he lives in London, where he is running THE STRINGS and working as a tutor at the London West University.
